1939 Plymouth coupe, many body mods, 3 1959 cad lights fenched into the rear fenders, chopped windshield. Molded rear fenders, custom built dash, 55 Chrysler hemi bored .20 over and balanced, Chevy 350 turbo trans, Nova rear, K car rack and pinion steering, Camaro tilt column with all wiring controlled on the the column, no dash switches. 72 Monte Carlo front disc brakes, 94 Pont Bonneville master cyl under the floor with all 4 restrictor valves front and rear. Electric controlled marine exhaust cutouts. Butted windshield, all glass new and tinted, Original American racing torqe thrust
mags, 15" rear 14" front, bench bucket seat. The exterior is in yellow PPG sealer. The interior needs to be done or not. This coupe is a driver and could be used as is or as so many people ask could be finished for a small
amount compared to the work already done. I have all the original front sheet metal if you want to make a full fendered car out of it. Here is a little info on the building of this Hemi coupe. Everything hat was done on
this coupe I did with a little help of some good friends. The body was pretty good but the floorboards were gone so off with the body. I built complete new floorboards and inner rear fenders with my good friend Cecil
suppling the cross braces. I welded the rear fenders to the body as there was nothing there to bolt to. I'm glad I did that cause it looks real good. I frenched three 59 cad tailights in the rear fenders ( that was my favorite part of this project ) I cut out the old firewall and my son in law made mea new one out of stainless so the Hemi would fit. As for the Hemi it is a 55 Chrysler 331 bored 20 over and balanced otherwise stock. I wanted to be ableto get parts on the road so I adapted a GM 350 turbo to it. I built an adapter out of 3/4 inch plywood. After bolting everything together to make sure it worked I had a adapter made out of aluminum. We welded up a chevy
flex plate and had it re drilled for the Hemi crank. We also put the guts out
of a chevy starter in the chrysler t arter, double bushings on each end made this work. Used the chrysler bendix. It works great. The rear end is a nova 3.73. I adapted 72 monte carlo disk breaks up front using the 39 spindles. A 7/16 spacer was used to shorten the spindle. The Monte Carlo inner bearing
was used and the 39 outer bearing was used. Then I just built mounts for the calipers. The steering is a rack out of a K car, Ply Reliant I think. I had to shorten the tie rods about 3 inches on each side. works great. I used a
Camaro tilt wheel wouldn't bolt to the stock dash so I completly rebuilt the dash adding 3 inches so the column would bolt up. I found some Fiat gauges at a swap meet and put them in. I chopped just the windshield opening so it match the door glass as a 39 ply door openings already looked chopped. That's about it, Oh! one more thing, I have marine stainless cutout dumps operated by a screw motor by way of a power window switch under the dash.Love that! I have driven this coupe about 200 miles. It drives good but may
need some fine tuning. The rack and pinion mount was put together in a hurryto get everything set up, it's not real pretty but works well. The buyer mayor may not want to change it.- $20,000.00 - contact, Keith L Adams. Roy, Utah, 84067, USA, phone; 801 985
8144, Email: cadlights@aol.com
